Member Spotlight: Maureen Mahon

Who is Maureen Mahon of Mahon Interiors? Well, she’s an interior designer with clients headquartered in the L.A. area, Bay Area/Silicon Valley, Orange County, San Diego, and New York. Her business is certified by both VeganDesign.org and PETA! Her ethical values are tightly woven into her work & everything that she does. She’s based in LA but does work across the country & even internationally! Here are some more fun facts about Maureen:

Fun Fact #1: She was actually a featured designer on HGTV’s House Hunters Renovation!

Fun Fact #2: Her design career actually began when she was commissioned to decorate turnkey oceanfront vacation properties in Rosarito, Mexico while attending the Architectural Interior Design Program at Santa Monica College.

Fun Fact #3: After her time designing for mostly residential projects in Los Angeles, she was hired to design offices for a tech startup!

Fun Fact #4: After being hired on to do office design, that’s when Maureen truly found her passion. She made it her goal to be a part of this exciting and rapidly growing industry of designing for tech start-ups & tech campuses.

BONUS FACT: Maureen offers her clients something called ‘Disruptive Design’ - this is “a design approach that goes beyond how space looks and functions. [She] is disrupting the status quo by taking responsibility for how [the] products and services [she offers] affect individuals, communities, animals and the planet.”
